Short-handed Hawks fall to River Forest

Short-handed Hebron, playing without leading scorer Carsyn Ryan due to contact tracing, fell to River Forest 63-35 on Tuesday. The Hawks (5-8), who trailed 26-9 after the first quarter, were led by Sidney Elijah’s 11 points.  Stephanie Hano added eight and Madelyn Kirby six.

Hobart holiday tourney moved to Griffith

Wednesday’s Hobart Holiday Tournament has been moved to Griffith. Hebron will play Hammond Clark  at 10 a.m. with Highland and the host Panthers to follow. The consolation game is scheduled for 6 p.m., preceding the championship. Hebron can’t find the basket; falls to Boone

Carsyn Ryan notched 10 points but didn’t get much offensive help as Hebron fell  41-25 to Boone Grove (4-2, 2-1) in a Porter County Conference game Tuesday. The Hawks (2-5, 1-2) shot just 8-of-29 from the field, 1-of-8 from the arc and 6-of-17 from the foul line.

Winter sports senior nights Jan. 2

Hebron will conduct senior night for both basketball teams, cheerleading and dance during the Jan. 2 girls-boys basketball doubleheader against LaCrosse. Students will be recognized after the girls game, which begins at 5:30. Also, the wrestling team’s senior night will be held Jan. 6, prior to the match.
