Hebron got off on the right foot in the new year with a 62-29 Porter County Conference rout of winless LaCrosse on Saturday at the Hawks Nest.
“The entire team played well,” Hawks coach Mike Grennes said. “We have been focusing on getting a better start to our games and we did that. Our defense also was solid all night. It is really good to get three in double figures and I thought Logan was aggressive on both ends of the ball. He attacked the rim on offense and did a great job of rebounding the ball on defense. Griffin (Moore) had a great game and held LaCrosse’s top scorer (Ben Garwood) to seven points. Always good to get a conference win!”
Hebron (5-4, 1-2) took command with a 22-4 first-quarter lead and cruised from there, allowing just 13 second-half points.
