Hebron returns to game action tonight at Wheeler after a two-week pause during which it has four games postponed.
“We’re thrilled to be playing at Wheeler,” Hawks coach Megan Goodan said. “We have (almost) everyone back from quarantine and have been improving every day over the last two weeks of practice. We’re looking forward to the competition. Practices are great, but nothing beats putting the Hebron uniforms on and competing for a win!”
The Hawks won’t be quite at full strength with senior guard Maddy Kirby still in quarantine, meaning freshman Halie Kinkade moves into a starting role.
“With several of our upperclassmen out due to quarantine the last week-and-a-half, the freshmen (Kinkade, Maddy Heck and Grace Brown) have stepped up and really brought a different level of intensity to practice since our last game. We’re asking them to fill leadership roles so quickly in the season and they’re handling it very well.”
The varsity-only game tips at 6 with attendance limited to immediate family due to COVID-19 crowd restrictions.
