Hebron Hawks Varsity Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Eastside to advance to the regional finals

Hebron Hawks Varsity and Eastside traded the lead back-and-forth on Saturday, but eventually Hebron Hawks Varsity prevailed 4-3. Hebron Hawks Varsity took the lead for good in the eighth inning. The game was tied at three with Hebron Hawks Varsity batting in the top of the eighth when Travis Patrick doubled off of Zach Orn, driving in one run.
Eastside scored three runs in the third inning, but Hebron Hawks Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Eastside came thanks to a single by Caleb Ballentine and a passed ball.
Hebron Hawks Varsity captured the lead in the second inning. Hebron Hawks Varsity scored one run when Travis Patrick doubled with one out in the second inning.
In the top of the fifth inning, Hebron Hawks Varsity tied things up at three. Tyler Patrick drove in two when he singled in the fifth inning.
Eastside scored three runs in the third inning. Eastside’s big inning was driven by a single by Ballentine and a passed ball.
Jake Everaert earned the win for Hebron Hawks Varsity. He went one inning, surrendering zero runs, zero hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Zach Orn took the loss for Eastside. He pitched one inning, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and walking zero.
Jackson White started the game for Eastside. He pitched seven innings, allowing three runs, five hits, and striking out seven. Chad Patrick started the game for Hebron Hawks Varsity. He tossed seven innings, allowing three runs, five hits, and striking out eight.
Hebron Hawks Varsity collected six hits. Hunter Ryan, Travis Patrick, and Tyler Patrick each collected multiple hits for Hebron Hawks Varsity. Tyler Patrick, Travis Patrick, and Hunter Ryan each collected two hits to lead Hebron Hawks Varsity. Hebron Hawks Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tyler Patrick had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.
