Travis Patrick Throws Shutout As Hebron Hawks Varsity Defeats Boone Grove
Travis Patrick didn’t allow a single run as Hebron Hawks Varsity defeated Boone Grove 19-0 on Monday. Travis Patrick allowed just three hits and induced a groundout from Brett Morris to end the game.
Hebron Hawks Varsity was boosted by Luke Woodward who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Woodward homered in the first, homered in the third, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.
Hebron Hawks Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. With one out in the first inning Woodward drove in two runs when he homered.
Hebron Hawks Varsity scored seven runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Chad Patrick, a walk by Travis Patrick, a single by Mark Martin, a walk by Austin Chas, and a error.
A single by Brett Morris in the first inning was a positive for Boone Grove.
Travis Patrick earned the win for Hebron Hawks Varsity. He tossed five innings, allowing zero runs, three hits, striking out six, and walking zero. Morris took the loss for Boone Grove. He pitched two-thirds of an inning, giving up two runs, one hit, and walking one.
Ty Bothwell started the game for Boone Grove. He went three innings, surrendering seven runs, eight hits, striking out five, and walking one.
Home runs for Hebron Hawks Varsity came when Travis Patrick homered in the third inning and Woodward homered in the first and third innings.
